We are delighted you are interested in becoming an intern or volunteer! We greatly appreciate our interns and volunteers. Because opportunities like this involve effort on our part as well as yours, we want this to be a good fit for both sides. Experiences at YIBR can help you reach your goals whether they be academic, personal, professional, or career related. All internships and volunteer positions are run by individual programs or labs and most have a three-month minimum time commitment and a minimum 10 hours a week. First Step

Contact a faculty member, postdoctoral scholar or graduate student at YIBR who is conducting research in your area of interest. In your email include your interests, your resume and your dates of availability.  Find contact information via YIBR faculty web page.

 

To Apply

All applicants will be expected to provide some forms when they apply for a position. Please see the ABP Volunteer Page and Volunteer Application Form.

 

What to do when your application was accepted?

  1. Find out what we expect from our interns and what you can expect of us.
  2. Review a list of potential funding opportunities for prospective interns.
  3. It may be possible to receive academic credit for an internship/volunteering in a form of 499 course credit. Please discuss this with your YIBR lab mentor. To register for a 499 course, you will need a CRN number for this course linked to your mentor.
  4. You will likely need to do various trainings. Please review a list of potential trainings that you may need to do and discuss with your mentor which trainings are applicable to you.
